Installation Errors - Server Unavailable

After being given the assignment of downloading Dynamics AX onto our server, I went through each phase of a core installation, using the Custom Installation option:

Creating a Database
Installing a File Server
Installing AOS
Installing a Client

Before moving on to install the additional roles, I received this error: The server is unavailable, the client will try to connect to other servers in your configuration.

and Failed to establish connection

After doing some research at Microsoft Dynamics AX I found that the reason it didn't work was because after the installation was completed I did not start the system.

Microsoft Dynamics AX - Introduction

I don't have a lot of information about the product other than the Microsoft Dynamics AX site.

Dynamics is described as a comprehensive business management solution that works like and with familiar Microsoft software. It's for mid-size and larger companies. After watching the Microsoft AX Demos it made me want to trade spots with Inga, the Purchasing Manager - okay, maybe not, but I did think, "That is pretty darn slick!".
